Abstract

Features of external friction effect on the process of natural aging of carbon steel after different thermal treatment was studied by amplitude-dependent and amplitude-independent methods of internal friction. Determined, that natural aging of steel is conducted by primary growth of internal friction as a result of relaxation processes development with further de-creasing internal friction level, generated by blocking of dislocations. It is showed, that external friction decelerates devel-opment of deformational aging of martensite structures, but considerably activizates this process in the case of high-temperature tempering of steel on late stage of aging
