Increasing the wear resistance of earthmovers knives
Abstract
The method and results of performance tests grader blades exposed hardened by high frequency and sputter TiN-Cr2N. Recently, the ion-plasma coating has been inflicted on surface blades, initially exposed hardened by high frequency. Choice composition for ion-plasma pavement for nozhey graders bыly provedenы laboratory equipment yspыtanyya by friction machine SMC-2. The wear test samples were subjected to ion-plasma coatings such as МоN, ТіN and TiN-Cr2N. As a result of laboratory tests was found to ion-plasma coating TiN-Cr2N improves the wear resistance of the cutting elements graders about 2.0 times. Furthermore, the wear of the samples with the ion plasma coating TiN and MoN at all loads is less than the samples after quenching by high frequency but higher than when using the coating TiN-Cr2N. In actual tests of blades fragments with 65G steel, hardened by high frequency, using the experimental setup shown that during operation in the abrasive environment earthmovers blade wear versus time its operation is linear and coating TiN-Cr2N decreases in 1.7 times comparison with the standard knife.References
