Abstract
On the basis of literature review analysis and practice of meat cutting machines usage at the meat-processing enterprises of Khmelnytskyi region, the new method of improvement of cutting properties of knifes and grids of cutters and choppers by nitriding modification in glow discharge was proposed. Necessary equip-ment for the modification of the knifes’ set of the cutter was designed and the nitriding process in glow discharge using the optimal modes of the process was carried out. Further testing of the modified set of knifes in work conditions showed high effectives of the proposed method of modification.
