Abstract

Within the framework of the complex research the characteristic of wear are studied and kinetics of structural changes of the detail friction surface having the cover of amorphous type with nano-inclusions (W-Co-C). It has been determined that the wear of such covers is rather inhomogeneous at the initial period. It is accompanied with the local changes in cover thickness. In the process of friction the crystal structures form; they scale off with increment of the endurance process. Such amorphous cover with inclusions of crystal phases apparently causes the decrease of friction coefficient during the exploitation. When providing the recovery of these details it is necessary to work out a technology of cover remains removal and a process of application of nano-inclusion cover which provides the similar durability.
